The Festival of European Literature, organised by the publishing house Arhipelag, will take place in the Serbian capital from 4 to 6 June. The slogan of this year's 13th edition of the festival, which will once again be held at the Belgrade Youth Centre, is "The best of everything, the best for everyone".
Our author Gabriela Babnik will be among the main festival guests, alongside German author Luca Kieser, Spanish author Miguel Roán and Serbian author Veselin Marković.
The Belgrade Festival of European Literature is a multimedia event where literature is presented in various forms: from book launches and public readings to talks between writers and audiences, panels and other events.
Gabriela Babnik is a Slovenian writer, literary critic and translator. Her novel Intimno (Beletrina, 2015) was included in the international literary programme 100 Slavic Novels, promoting contemporary Slavic literature written after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and published in Serbian in 2019 by Clio (translated by Jelena Budimirović).
