Exactly one month before the award ceremony, the jury for the novel of the year award published this year’s shortlist and we are immensely proud that the new novel by Katarina Marinčič, The Woman With a Silver Eye, is among the five finalists.
˝Despite its relative brevity, Katarina Marinčič's novel The Woman With a Silver Eye carries a multitude of registers and discourses, from the literary and even the poetic, the colloquial, the intellectual to the vulgar, all of them equally convincing. The structure is clearly thought out, and the style is effective and clear. On 150 pages, we encounter crime, satire, horror and psychological novels.˝ – Radio Slovenia
Katarina Marinčič is a writer, literary historian and translator, and already a past Kresnik Award winner for her novel Disguised Harmony (Prikrita harmonija, 2001).
