The Leipzig Book Fair, known as the second largest book fair in Germany, is set to take place from April 27th to April 30th. Today, the fair aims to be for the public, emphasizing the relationship between the authors and the fair's visitors. In parallel to the exhibitions, the Leipzig Book Fair is notable for its reading festival 'Leipzig liest'. This year, two acclaimed Beletrina’s authors, Ana Marwan and Jela Krečič, will take part at several events on and off the fairgrounds.
Ana Marwan, the winner of last year's Ingeborg Bachmann Prize, will present her novel Cocooned (Verpuppt in German), which was published in German in January of this year by Otto Müller Verlag. Through her work, Marwan has gained a reputation for her unique storytelling style and ability to captivate readers.
Jela Krečič will be in Leipzig to talk about her novel None Like Her (Keine wie sie in German), which was published last July by Mitteldeutscher Verlag. Krečič has gained readership for her ability to tell stories that are both thought-provoking and engaging.
