Goran Vojnović will be visiting the oldest book fair in the Arab world between 30 January and 2 February. The author and the Arab translations of his two books The Fig Tree and Yugoslavia, My Fatherland will be presented by the Al Arabi publishing house at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo, where the fair will take place.
The CIBF was inaugurated in 1969 and has an estimated attendance of 2 million visitors. Last year it hosted over 1.000 Egyptian, Arab and other publishers.
Al Arabi Publishing and Distributing was established on 1975 and today focuses on publishing translated friction and non-fiction books from all over the world. They have so far published authors from more than 25 countries and Goran Vojnović is the first Slovenian author on their list.
